Gary Anderson - Lead vocals, Mike De Souza - Guitar, Chris Lockyer - Bass, Rupe Rance - Drums & Tom Gwyther - Keyboards are The Jet Black Heights!
As one door closes, another one opens… and that’s how it was for The Jet Black Heights, formed in the summer of 2007.
The group had come together after parting company with previous projects, Lead Vocalist Gary Anderson (Ex Rainstar Frontman) who supported Bon Jovi & Nickelback on their 2006 World Tour and Mike deSouza, Rupe Rance, Tom Gwyther & Chris Lockyer all formerly of The Lounge Suits joined forces to create what you see & hear now. Well, then came the mission (and a proper mission it was) of finding a name that suited the band, they searched for the right name that would reflect their unique style and after much brainstoming, alcohol & generally talking shite The Jet Black Heights became a reality.
The band had been friends for more than 10 years and have always been very close..not gay close but..erm!..you know, brotherly close, having toured and recorded in various bands together over that period….things slotted very quickly into place !
Their influences are numerous but include :- Scooter, Aqua, Right Said Fred...not really that's a joke ! real ones are as follows: U2, LIVE, Counting Crows, Matchbox 20, Jeff Buckley, Chris Cornell, Killing Joke, Goo Goo Dolls, Van Halen, Muse and The Foo Fighters to name but a few.
