  • Bio

It's time. Time for Rock 'N Roll. Without embellishment. Cruising straight down the road like a juggernaut. Without the usual V8-stereotypes and flames on the wings. No skulls, no tigerstripe-guitarstraps. The Jetlegs do what the want - no compromises. Chris (Guitar/Vocals), Dominic (Drums/Backingvocals) and Martin (Bass) are absolutely aware of the fact that they won't reinvent the wheel of Rock - but they let it roll on and on. With fun, soul and sweat, raw power and euphoria. Energy that boils over. From the stage to the audience and back. Energy that used to be dangerous decades ago. When bands like the MC5, the Who, Radio Birdman or the Stooges made the established media fear for the souls of the fans, a faint breath of revolution was in the air. MUSIC THAT MEANT SOMETHING. MUSIC THAT STILL MEANS SOMETHING. At least for the Jetlegs and their fans. Launched in the year 2005 in Nuremberg/Germany, the trio recorded their first self-produced 4-Track E.P. ("The Jetlegs") - and introduced their songs live to their devotees around their hombase. In the beginning of 2007 they betook themselves into the studio of British rock dinosaur Pete Mayhew to record some of their newest songs within a couple of days. This session generated the 5-track E.P. "Alright! Let's Go!", which has won praise in the music press since then. With 9 out of 10 points in the Ox-Fanzine, issue 72, for example: " One, two, three, four: Let's go! With their second demo the band goes into full blast and plays their 5 Songs energetically. [...] Excellent guitar work and driving beats make the Jetlegs-mid-tempo appear absolutely fresh. -Arne Köpke". Or Trust Magazine: "great songwriting, really rocks". Or Sellfish: "If we had kind of a weekly released NME-blend here, we spontaneously would declare the Jetlegs as the hottest shit. -Sebastian Zapf". Besides some great shows, the Jetlegs spent most of the year 2009 in the studio to produce their first full-length album. After some sudorific sessions "Boarding Now" was released in November with a furious releaseparty at MUZ Club in Nuremberg. Armed with their new record, in 2010 the Jetlegs will be back on the road to electrify as many crowds as possible and shake some action wherever they can!
