Not all those who wander, are lost – that is certainly true, but don’t we all have dark moments, where we wander BECAUSE we are lost? Should you ever wander restless, hopeless and helpless, this album is something to turn to. Because sometimes, music helps better than any kind words from well meaning friends. “Seven Hour Night Shifts” embraces you with calmness and enlightens the darkness of not knowing where, when and why. From the first song it soothes your soul and sets your mind at ease, almost as sitting down with an old friend who understands you even if you don’t say a word. The banjo in most of the songs stops the album from getting all too grievous and reminds you of not letting the things get to you too much. Melodies and vocals are simple - and spherical at times, honest and never pretentious. This is an heartfelt folky pop record – and I mean this in the best of ways - from a singer who actually still believes in what he does, and has not given in yet to the machinery that is the music business.
To everyone who feels a bit lost and lonely, I encourage you to listen to this album.
Because at the end, it will remind you that every end has a new start within, that on every dark road there is a light somewhere ahead – and that you are never lonely as long as there is music around that makes you feel home and safe.
Done with all the huge, pathetic words now though, listen folks and enjoy.

"The album is beautifully lyrical and evocative, with soulful, floating harmonies that recall Fleet Foxes and Brian Wilson. I plan on using his work down the road in my series, "The Mystery of Creativity." - "David McDonald, Director of Woodstock Revisited
"At only 18, Navetta has already developed into quite the musical triple threat: he wrote, performed and produced Seven Hour Night Shifts on his own, and it sounds absolutely fantastic." - Jim Di Gioia, Quick Before it Melts
"The Jet Rodriguez (aka Cameron Navetta) is back with his full length album Seven Hour Night Shifts- I don’t know if he was pulling those shifts when he was writing the album but whatever he was doing certainly worked. Some great tunes that are touching, heart felt and while some of the lyrics speak of misery the tunes themselves are so sun-soaked it is hard not to hum along!" - Tenacious T
"Cameron Navetta accomplished a tour-de-force with this album. Impeccable sound and arrangements while harmonies that'll give you chills." - Sophie Gosselin, Sorry... Shooting in Progress
"This is an unbiased endorsement: I have never met the man. His music, however, feels like an old friend. Nowadays it's hard to find an artist with more personality than marketing. I think he is a welcome exception to that unfortunate rule." - Stephen Grayce
Not exactly traditional folk, but not quite pop, The Jet Rodriguez is on the cutting edge of a neo-folk movement that is challenging the boundaries of several different genres. The style ranges from relatively simple acoustic folk to more elaborate symphonic compositions with multiple layers and harmonies that more discerning ears might appreciate.
At times, the lyrics reflect the cares and concerns of an eighteen-year-old, but more often, they deal with deeper spiritual and philosophical themes. Honesty and transparency have become the hallmark of Navetta's writing, with the recognition that life can be a struggle; a struggle, however, that needs to be engaged. What emerges is vulnerable yet intense music with undeniably attractive melodies.
