Joanne Louise: vocalist/guitarist/writer.
Born in Liverpool and is the driving force of The Jetsuns. As singer/songwriter for several years JL has performed her songs at The Theatre Clwyd (Wales) The Brighton Pavillion Theatre, The Theatre Royal in Stratford and many more... her distinctive voice has been likened to the sound of Jonie Mitchell, Karen Carpenter, Kate Bush and Minnie Riperton, and her songwriting has reminded some of Nick Drake and Radio Head. Her favourite singers include Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Jeff Buckley.
Lewis Fielding: bass/slide guitar. Lewis is a proffessional blues guitarist who has worked with Big Joe Turner playing at the Royal Albert Hall alongside BB King, Clarence Tex Walker and currently playing with Little George Sueref (Womad 02, Lattitude festival 07) and Jerimiah Marques (Mystique Blues Fest 05, and regularly at the Blues Bar-London)
A recent addition to The Jetsuns is Miss Jane South on flute and backing vocals, Jane is a virtuoso instrumentalist and has had extensive experience as a flautist, she resonates beautifully with The Jetsuns vibe and has performed with the band on three occasions so far since the new year!
Performing on the forthcoming album: Drums - Kit Jolliffe, Trumpets - Byron Wallen and Joe Auckland (Madness, Transcargo), Acoustic guitar- Richard Batty.

The album has had several reviews so far, in March 08 the Musicians Union mag 'Musician' described it as "..an oasis of calm and healing. Lovely" bbsradio.com: ""Stupendous voice! Everything works in harmony! I can't remember the last time I heard a voice and arrangements sound so magical, with such surreal beauty and melodic chemistry. Simply wonderful!" and consciousmedianetwork.com :"After a weekend listening to this wonderful album, reminiscent of a young Joni Mitchell at times, I cannot get it out of my head!"
Led by Liverpool born singer/songwriter Joanne Louise, these groovers have been gigging together for just over 24 months, coming together to work on Jo's songs and eventually to form "the Jetsuns".
The Jetsuns have performed at London venues such as The Jazz Cafe in Camden, The Rhythm factory, Cargo and Downstairs at the Washington in Havistock Hill.
In their new album they dish up a fresh funky dish made up of vamping electric guitar, soaring vocals, organic bass and tasteful garnish from the likes of trumpeter Byron Wallen (winner of the BBC Jazz Award for Innovation 03).
All this embellishing conscious catchy songs....
