Sounds Like
The Jimi Vincent Band. We like to play with plenty of solo space and with high energy. Picture in your mind aggressive guitar, both in rhythm and solo, along with a screaming B-3 and a strong bottom end. Some say the Hammond is sometimes like having a horn section doing stabs here and there.
Both Jimi and Sam have strong voices that lean toward the gravel side of life, each with their own unique style.
Formed in 1989, The Jimi Vincent Band plays rockin' blues. The rattle the rafters and treat their listeners to an explosive musical experience. One can certainly feel the energy the band generates as they take the listener on a musical journey through the world of blues. The Jimi Vincent band won the 2007 River City Blues Competition and performed at the International Blues Challenge to be held on Beale Street in Memphis TN, January 2008. The band is currently playing blues festivals and clubs converting new listeners to their brand of the blues. The Jimi Vincent Band opened for shows that featured Robert Cray, Tinsley Ellis, Bonnie Raitt, Keb Mo, John Lee Hooker Jr., Anthony Gomes, Nerak Roth Patterson and the Karen Patterson Jazz Ensemble. They have also opened shows for Robert Lockwood Jr., Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Loverboy, Travis Tritt, Mark Farner and Charlie Daniels.
