The Jim Pullman Band has received numerous accolades and recognitions since its formation in 2001:
JPB's debut album Shed My Skin is being sold at Best Buy, Borders ,Barnes & Noble, and many other retailers thanks to the worldwide distribution by All Indies Inc.
JPB has performed opening sets for national artists Willy Porter, Angie Aparo, Ben Arnold, Ike Riley, Ronnie Milsap, Wishbone Ash & Monte Montgomery.
WB Television Network named JPB "The Best Artist You Should Be Listening To," and hosted The JPB on their national morning show, The Daily Buzz.
Now starts an exciting new chapter for Jim and his music. He has recently surrounded himself with and all new powerhouse line up.
Bassist Eric Thompson can lay down a big fat wall of groove, yet can also weave tasteful melodies through the music, building landscapes and lines for the songs to roam through.
When Joe Gunderson plays the drums you can feel it! The kick drum hits you in the chest, The snare raises the little hairs on the back of your neck, and you can't help but surrender to the rhythm. The chops, the phrasing, the dynamics, & the in-the-pocket muscle...simply put, this rhythm section is bad ass!
Of course there couldn't be a Jim Pullman Band without Jim. His voice reveals heartbreak, romance, sheer joy. It moves people, makes them feel. Every note is strong and true, with a sweet vibrato tail. His guitar work features intricate syncopations, thumpin' rhythms, and lush washes of tone. Big thick hooks, infectious melodies, and heartfelt lyrics are typical of Jim's songs.
When you put together the technical ability and the expressiveness of the members, crowd adoration and critical acclaim seem the most likely responses. And they are.
