JLG has always had a strong passion for music, specifically Rap/Hip Hop. He discovered his talent at a very early age when he was 7 years old. Now, 12 years later, JLG is now 19 years old and is ready to take this industry over. With JLG, you don't get the "Same Candy Bar, Different Rapper" deal. His fans will tell you, his music is something new. The music industry has changed for the better and in order to be a successful artist nowadays; you must have the “full package” and that is something that JLG has. With his strong presence, dominating delivery, amazing lyrics and catchy hooks, it’s hard to not enjoy his music. JLG has released two CDs; one called "Lucid Dreams" and another called "Friday the 13th" (This is not counting his countless mix-tape tracks floating around"). Some of the songs from both CDs can be heard at WWW.MYSPACE.COM/THEJLG. JLG is Dominican and was born "Jason Luis Gonzalez" on March 2nd, 1990 in Uptown Manhattan (better known as Spanish Harlem). Unfortunately, JLG’s father died in a car accident in Dominican Republic before he even hit the age of five. JLG lived in New York City until he moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 13. Growing up with a single mom made JLG realize that in life, you have to work hard and do things on your own. This is what influenced him to go to a technical high school to study Music Theory and Sound Engineering. After school days, he would work part time in order to save up enough money to buy himself his own home studio. Now he edits, mixes and engineers songs for himself and other local artists. You can see his buzz getting bigger and bigger. He has come a long way and is still always working hard to get ahead. He is what the industry needs right now.
