Since 2000, The Jockey Club Remembered is THE official internet presence for the midwest's premiere punk-rock mecca of the 1980s! Well, WE think so! This addendum to Ho-Ho Record's Jockey Club tribute website is also dedicated to the club's national-act heyday-era primarily booked by Bill Leist-- still viewed as an amazing grassroots accomplishment decades later. The objectives are to collect photos and stories of the club itself and the many bands that played there.

message from your moderator: Another catastrophic cave-in at JCR, this time courtesy of FUSE, wipes out every Ho-Ho page just days before the big reunion show. So if you follow the link from the book you won't get terribly far. I aim to fix this, but years worth of work, hundreds of hours of carpal hell and eye-strain city cannot be reproduced overnight. But JCR at Myspace happily exists now with 120% of the same content. The calendar is easier to add to now so let's get back on that, gang! let's finish the fucker off!!! Somehow I wiped out over a years worth of GuestList message board messages, and me with no backup! Dunno what I did so it could happen again--I cannot be trusted! I could painstakingly recreate a few but not all, from saved emails, but it would take me years, so I said screw it, and opted for this instead! I came over to the dark side and joined forces with TOM. I hate to say it but here is indeed working out, if genericising things a bit. The famous Jockey Club Tribute Pages over at Ho-Ho Records will rarely be updated but will continue to be maintained like the eternal flame. New pics, komments and such will appear here, myspace being more pics and komments friendly. I am so glad someone has payed homage to the great, late, JC. I have more than fond memories of this club. It is too bad there isn't a place like this around now. My kids would be going if it were still around. I raised them to love this music, its too bad other parents haven't done the same, Ha, ha.
Also, I'd like to apologize to the guy who's nose I broke all so many years ago in the mosh pit. At least I gave you a good story to tell you childen. LOL!
