Joe Brozio was born in Germany in april 1955 and began to play the guitar already at the age of four. Joe grew up with the music of bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd. Already as an early teenager Joe gained a lot of attention among elder musicians and he began to play regularly in different local bands. He was soon asked to do sessions and studiowork, and he can look back at a long history of recordings and work with many different artists and producers.

Among others Joe played on the first platinum winning album of Italian singer Francesco Napoli, he did studiowork for the dutch female group Maywood, he worked with Henry Staroste, famous producer of Warlock and Doro Pesch, he worked with Rene Tinner, producer of Lou Reed, with Zeus B. Held from Birth Control, Dieter Bornschlegel from Guru Guru. He also worked for RTL and ZDF (TV stations) as for many other producers and bands.

A personal meeting and a long inspiring conversation with John McLaughlin have finally encouraged Joe to write his own instrumental music and produce his first cd Nylon Times.

Meanwhile Joe has produced another two CDs with own material in various styles, ranging from Jazz to New Country and Blues/Rock. Some of Joe's music had been chosen by Northwind Films for their movie Jasper Lake. Also songs from Joe's first CD Nylon Times appear on the sampler Giant for an Hour - music inspired by and in tribute to Gentle Giant.

In the year 2003 Joe signed a record deal with Arizona Records in Germany. Joe appeared on radio and tv, he tours through Europe with the famous Dutch band Savannah and with the Grammy winning American Singer/Songwriter Billy Yates.

The Joe Brozio Band is Joe's current project, a tribute to the great Eric Clapton. The actual program is called Riding with Eric, and it consists of all the well known Slowhand hits.

The Joe Brozio Band combines great musicians from different countries, who share the same love and respect for the blues and the music of Eric Clapton.
