Joe Brunetti was born on July 15th 1965. He began playing guitar around 1975. He is a self taught professional guitarist having only taking one lesson and wouldn't continue because the instructor couldn't play any Led Zeppelin. While attending elementary and high school, he played in the school band performing Trombone and Baritone solos, all the while wanting to play the guitar. When the instructors wouldn't allow him to divert from the horns to guitar mainly because he was 1st chair Trombone, he decided to leave the school band. He then started a rock band called Kings Ransom, quit school, and never looked back. This didn't amuse his parents, especially his father, (a marine), and was kicked out at the age of 16. Eventually things with his family improved, and his music eventually won their respect bringing them over to his way of thinking. Mostly because he was so good on the guitar, and everyone realized to just let him do what he loved doing. In 1985, The kings Ransom band disbanded and Joe began his solo career. He played the local scene in and out of various bands and doing fill-in work. Bored with that, He started his recording career doing sessions and learning the engineering process. This was during the switch from Analog tape multi-tracking to what would become todays Digital age. This knowledge would be so valuable for his future and he knew that in 1986. Although he was working, he was growing tired of session work, so he went on the road around 1991. He traveled alone from L.A. to Key West and everywhere in between performing every Juke joint that would have him, just to earn enough money for gas. He did this from 1991 to 1994 and the lessons learned on the road were impossible to learn from any book. After returning home to Cleveland, he started the Blue Heat band and quickly started earning a reputation as one of Cleveland's premier guitarists and to this day continues to be held in that regard. In 2000, he released the "Midnight Blues" CD. In 2001, he released the "Livin' & Dyin" CD. In 2003 he released "3". In 2004, he released "The Real Deal" CD and later in 04' released a remastered "Best Of" compilation. In 2005, he formed The Joe Brunetti Band, and continues to perform with The Joe Brunetti Band and as a Solo Acoustic Act. In his spare time, He likes to build his own guitars or for one of his many clients. He's now an accomplished Luthier, and most of Joe's guitars can sound like 4 others.
