Based in South West of England, THE JOE PUBLIC were hand-picked by Michael Eavis to play at Glastonbury Festival, and have played over 250 shows across the UK.
Prolific song-writers and talented musicians, THE JOE PUBLIC make a sound which has been described as a cross between Brandon Boyd fronting King's Of Leon and The Temper Trap jamming with Queens Of The Stone Age!
Recently signed to Saint Grace Music, THE JOE PUBLIC have just returned from a 15-date UK tour to promote the commercial release of their debut single (‘SKIN’), and are heading back into the studio in October/November to record the second EP.
Having just been 'Introduced' by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, and with the Spring 2010 Tour already shaping up, now is the time to catch THE JOE PUBLIC live!!!

'Quite simply one of the most promising young bands in the country.....A very nice bunch of lads too!' - Matt Burrows, Blinded By Sound (www.bbs-music.com)
'Enjoying a recording is one thing, but being able to recreate it live with at least the same effect is just the ticket; more than that and you're approaching something near the quality of THE JOE PUBLIC. See them in an intimate venue before they're too big to fit inside' - Johnathan Montelongo, Live Music Scene
‘They outshone all the other acts and are definitely a band to watch out for in the future. Their strength of style, material and delivery should prove to be a great grounding for a very promising career’ – John Higgins, BBC
'THE JOE PUBLIC have nailed that haunting Indie rock sound attempted by Queens of the Stone Age on 'Lullabies to Paralyze'. It kind of shows what Nirvana would have sounded like if Kurt Cobain wasn't so full of angst.....' - Chris Bound, Substock
'I won't bore you with trying to come up with comparisons, because THE JOE PUBLIC are a truly unique, genre-spanning entity. They seem to have absorbed everything their Glastonbury home has to offer, yet still manage to escape sounding like anything I've ever heard before. Is this what the future of music sounds like...?' - Sam Betts, Bleach Magazine
‘THE JOE PUBLIC took things to another level entirely. Their new lead singer has transformed them from a good band into a GREAT band. They are one of those acts for whom stardom beckons…’ – Oliver Hulme, Mid-Somerset News
'I've seen them a couple of times now & they are absolutely excellent, a really 'vibey' live band. They sound like a cross between Bloc Party, Vampire Weekend & The Manic Street Preachers' - Ru Cook, Lost Boys Studio
'Strong classic rock noises going on, nicely constructed, keep up the hard work' - Simon Williams (aka Mr Bongo), Head of Fierce Panda Records
'It's not often I get to say that I've heard something truly original, having been a music reviewer for the best part of 40 years. THE JOE PUBLIC, however, are forcing me to do just that with their own distinctive brand of rock - a sound unlike anything else on the scene at the moment. Technically brilliant, creatively diverse, and filled with emotion, this four-piece from the South-West of England have left me blown away – and will do the same for you' - Mike Scott, Unknown Records
‘THE JOE PUBLIC create a unique style of Alternative Rock, with aptitude far beyond the years of the band members and a premature sophistication that can only lead to great things in the future’ – Junxion 17 Magazine
