My name is John otherwise known as "The John".
I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. When i was about 15 i learned how to play guitar, and i have been writing songs and learning more and more about music ever since. Nov 27, 2007 so i decided i'd add you for the duel connection of staten island (and while typing this comment i realized that myspace now has a spellcheck.. hm..) but then i looked at your pictures, and i must say that I have seen the john, one night at the cup. i believe it was an open mic, and he was there by himself, sitting by the couches by the double doors. and then he sang :) and it was good. thanks for finding me.

Yes we do have open mic nights. They are usually run by either the Campus Activities Board(CAB) or Thirdrail Magazine.
You may have to wait for the Fall semester to begin before you see one scheduled. To get more information you should contact the Office of Student Life at 718.982. 3106 in building 1C room 201
Very nice new recordings..I finally got around to giving a good listen. So, sorry for the delay, but better late than never, I s'pose.
"This Guy" makes me want to put down a little rockabilly thing. What are you recording on nowadays?
Anyhow, keep on keeping on. I'll have some new stuff going up this Week. Maybe we can jam a bit next week, after Rock The Harbor (traveling this week, + my 25th bday, practice with the Lox, etc.). ?
