The Johnny Boots Band is one of the CT areas most talented blues infused bands. They perform original music and classic songs from the 3 Kings and Howlin' Wolf to Jimi Hendrix and beyond.
The band features guitar slinger/singer Johnny Boots (Giannicchi). Johnny has played with internationally recognized blues greats like Buddy Guy, Johnny "Clyde" and daughter Shemekia Copeland, Shirley King (Yes, BB's daughter), Hook Herrera (Harp with Gov't Mule), Mason Casey, Greg Piccolo as well as local artists like, Chris Cross and George Baker among others. While influenced by so many of the blues greats of yesterday, Johnny adds his soul, feeling and imagination to create his unique sound today.
Thom “Gilly” Gilbert on drums and Pete Bennett on bass add up to a rock solid rhythm section, eager to explore the boundaries of where the groove can take you.
The debut CD also features the talents of Stacey Williams - vocals, Maria Nazzaro - vocals and Tim "T-Bone" Stone - piano and organ and Paul Opalach - lap steel guitar.

Holy Mackeral or Halibut if you prefer!! That's a strange one huh! I'm sorry we didn't get introduced better at Bill's Blues. We were filling in for Tom Crivlione's Band who had a prior engagement. Rumour has it that Bill's is closing soon! If it does stop by ours at Catcher's Inn, 901 W. 35th on Chicago's near south side (7 blks. west of Sox Park). It's a Pro-Blues Jam on Thursdays at 9pm til 1am. Recently we've had Michael Dotson, Ric Hall, Felix Reyes of Susan Tedeschi Band, KoKo's and Magic Slims Band. Murali Coryell says he's comin' next time out! I'll try to make it down there the last week of Nov. I've really enjoyed your songs. Do You generally come out here to gig? or is it for business or personal visiting? Ron Michaels / BPS
