The Johnnys deliver three-minute sermons of jet-fuelled rock’n’roll. Cheeky lyrics and anthemic choruses, fired off at 220 beats per-minute, mix ‘60s garage rock, classic punk and the original wave of ‘50s rock’n’roll.
Anchored by Veronica Johnny (vox/rhythm guitar) and Dave Johnny (drums), the Toronto-based band performs live as a four-piece, featuring Tim Bones on Lead and Oriana Barbato on Bass. Their CD I Like It A Lot received three Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards nominations and one from the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards in 2008.
