Eric Neal (lead guitar, violin, bass on the cd) - Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, for Gentlemen Losers , Chris Holt, Sara Radle, Escort Service, Kristy Kruger
Solly, and even some cool hip-hop stuff with Bakin' Roos. Recruited for his ability to take parts and make 'em 10x better. Has a genuine love of the Muppets.
Jeff Jones (vocal and rhythm guitar) - Mercurial yet cynical. He's the guy that writes words/tunes you'll never forget. Secretly wants to to be known as The Velvet Smog. Known to fidget with songs just to torture the other band members. Admits to owning a drum machine.
Trey Carmichael (percussion) - Drummer extraordinaire also for the award winning media darlings, Sorta and plays acoustic sets with various Dallas artists. We have additional interesting knowledge about Trey that is too long to display in this format. However, we suspect him of doodling naughty pictures.
Joe Schwartzott (bass) - Also plays guitar for Crushed Stars, Oliver's Army The Elvis Costello Tribute Band and Gentlemen Losers. Smokes cigarettes and can hook you up with a copy of the Jr. Christian Science Bible Study Youth Show.
Chris Holt (keys, gtr, backing vocals )- Also plays guitar for Olospo , Chris Holt's Jukebox, The Lonelies and a bunch of other well known bands in the area. Anything you can do, he can do better. 2005 Dallas Observer Musician of the Year.

XTC. Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, Trash Can Sinatras, Jellyfish.
Who the hell are these guys?
It was one of those things you can only liken to a badly acted "let's start a band" movie:
Chris and Trey said to Jeff, "You've got some goods songs, we should start a band."
Jeff said, "OK."
Eric wasn't there, so he didn't say anything.
Then Chris left, and the band changed names and was lazy for a while.
The Jones Thing plays melodic songs with interesting arrangements and structures... Memorable, fun, witty, sad, happy, and of course, movie-like.

Love the cd's! Nothing else has been playing in my car and at work for the last 2 weeks. The world wants more of The Jones Thing. You are mega-talented!
