About The Jonestown Syndicate (buy new Robotosaurus)

The Jonestown Syndicate are a five piece metal outfit hailing from Adelaide, South Australia. Their music shows influence from various genres but can be simply placed in the 'Metal' section of a CD store. With intricately chaotic guitar riffs, aggressive/rocky vocal patters and metal grooves, they are for anyone that loves their music heavy yet is open to something a little different. Formed in 2003, The Jonestown Syndicate are a band that dedicates themselves to perfection in all aspects of the music scene, with an energetic live performance, these guys are a band not to be missed.

2007 saw the band release their debut full length 10 track album ‘Now You’re My Ghost Story’ through well known label Sightline Records with major label Shock Records distribution. Mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren (All Shall Perish, The Taste of Blood) at Castle Ultimate Studios in California the album received excellent reviews and the band is currently working on a new release due out mid 2008.

The Jonestown Syndicate have extended their fan base by constantly touring Australia playing alongside bands such as 'Darkest Hour', 'The Black Dahlia Murder', 'The Red Shore', 'He is Legend', 'All Shall Perish', 'Karnivool', 'I killed the prom queen' and 'Alarum' to name a few and have also completed two full international tours of New Zealand to an overwhelming response.

During their time apart the line up kept busy on numerous solo & collaboration projects including Couldrum, The Inflatable Scooterz & Coil. The band would also like to promote the inclusion of Pete Gore joining the guys on drums to give new blood & innovation to a classic sound. Australian Metal Awards	Sep 1 2009 10:01 AM After months of Judging and deliberation and with over 4,000 votes from the general public we are pleased to announce the finalists for each category of the 2009 Australian Metal Awards. Check our website for the details. The winners will be announced on the 7th of November at the 2009 Australian Metal Awards Show which will be held at the Forum (Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, NSW). Anyone who buys a pre-sale ticket to the 2009 Australian Metal Awards before Wednesday the 30th of September will go in the running to win 2 tickets to “Screamfest”. Screamfest is a two day event commencing New Years Eve at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney. There will also be a third day of celebrations on Sydney Harbour with a Heavy Metal boat cruise.
