Sounds Like
you just got hit in the ear with some smooth ( A mixture of Blues, rock, pop and a touch of funk )
Jordan Dunning has been playing guitar for ten years now and is ready to break into the roots, rock scene. Growing up in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan he was able to jam in the bars underage which earned him alot of experience especially seeing great young players from the city of Saskatoon. Having spent the last two years in Edmonton he spent alot of time at the well known Blues on Whyte where he furthered his guitar skills, Jordan has jammed and played with the likes of Big Dave Maclean, Jason Buie, Russell Jackson, E.C. Scott, Sam Cockrell, Pete Turland and other local talent from the city. Now residing in Victoria, British Columbia he is ready to start a new path in his future, With a brand new eight song disc entitled (ROOTS AT HAND) he shows a poppy side with a splash of blues and funk containing five originals and covering The RollingStones, Taj Mahal, and Big Sugar.
Mitchell Ross Dunning received his first drum kit at the age of eight, but did not take interest in the instrument until the age of fourteen. Around that age it was then that Jordan and Mitch decided to form a band and have been playing together ever since. MItchell finds his roots and favourite styles of music in blues, rock, and reggae and it is very evident in his playing. He is primarily self taught except for a number of lessons received from a good friend and great drummer named Jeff Lisk. Mitch met Jeff through the Edmonton, Alberta blues scene while living there in 2006/07. Jeff introduced me to a whole new world of percussion and even asked me to join his reggae group Soulbeat Revival. Today Mitch resides back in Prince Albert playing quite frequently. Although the distance the two brothers still play quite often together and Mitch plays as many gigs with the band as possible especially in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He still makes appearances with Jeff and Soulbeat and has a possibility of releasing a couple more cd's in 2008 one with soulbeat, and one with Jeff alone entitled "Percussive Dialog"
Sean Grieve the B3 and piano player grew up in a bandhouse in Courtenay B.C. on Vancouver Island. His dad Edwin Grieve was the guitarist in many touring bands in the seventies. Sean first touched the piano at the age of two due to the fact he wasn't allowed to touch any other of his dad's bands instruments. At the age of twelve Sean joined Edwin's band learning all the classic 60's and 70's B3 and piano stylings. Sean and Jordan met at Blue's on Whyte in Edmonton a few years back. After briefly meeting Sean invited Jordan to join him on a gig to Calgary with the Jason Buie Band. After the weekend the two decided to make a group. Sean has played with likes of Russell Jackson, Sam Cockrell and the Groove, Cal Batchelor, Sue Medly, Sonny Rhodes, Jason Buie, Thor and the Thundercats, Big Dave Maclean, Billy Joe Green and many other fine musicians. Sean's amazing playing, piano and organ stylings adds and brings a whole new element of great musicianship to the band.
