This year, The Joyce Theater celebrates 25 years of supporting the vibrant world of dance. To commemorate this landmark achievement, we have created programs that show our appreciation for the dance makers, choreographers and audiences who make The Joyce one of the most beloved stages in the world.
25 COMPANIES, 25 WORKS
In honor of our 25th Anniversary, The Joyce Theater awarded 25 dance companies with commissioning grants of $25,000 each. The dance community has rarely experienced such an infusion of resources for the sole purpose of creating new work.
You have surely heard about the tragic death of a brave young woman who was murdered in Iran just for peacefully protesting with her father on the streets of Teheran.
