BIO - The JTB
Music is more than just notes and rhythms. Music is equally about the people behind the microphones and instruments. It’s about the life stories that come deep within the souls of an artist; stories that are poured into the music.

Based in Tulsa, Okla., the jtb features principal songwriter, guitarist and lead vocalist Jamey Tiffee, bass player/vocalist Travis Shields and drummer Jake LeBar. As intriguing as their lives are, make no mistake about it. These guys put on a great show. The jtb’s straight-ahead sound is infused with hooky melodies and some serious pop sensibilities. It’s a sound that’s taken years to develop and a host of mainstream experiences to perfect.

They have shared stages with acts ranging from REO Speedwagon’s Gary Richrath, Casting Crowns, Salvador, Petra, Tait and Krystal Myers just to name a few. Performed all over the Mid-West from The Colosseum to The Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and festivals from SHOUTfest to Cornerstone Music Fest, but one thing is for sure, whether in an arena or local church sharing the stage with local pastors, it doesn’t take long before you see why they do what they do. This is a musical act that always begs the comment “who are these guys?” and it is only a matter of time before everyone who loves Christian music knows who they are.
With ten years plus experience in service to local church praise and worship teams, to say they can lead worship is an understatement. A passion to lead worship, the experience and gifting to do it with excellence in any setting you will know from the first note God has chosen them for worship in the act of song.
Experience with unbridled passion is what sets this group apart because it is a rarity in an industry that all too often finds people pursuing goals for the wrong reasons causing either burnout or an unwillingness to press on. “We have each found what God created us for and to step away from it would mean leaving that which is our purpose while here on earth.”

“Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever," (the short version of the Westminster Catechism), this one statement defines the heart of “the jtb” and their passion that truly comes from the love of a servant for their master and the work He has given them.
