The Jubilee Year makes piano music for acoustic guitar people. They make guitar rock for melodic piano people. However you may choose to describe them, their relevance to the music scene at large and to the most personal of experiences cannot be ignored. Styling mature songwriting with passionate playing and vocals, the band connects experience with thought, heart with mind, abstract with reality. Their music is not a way of escape but rather an ardent pressing in to what life may hold.
In this, the band’s first major CD release, the group adopts life as its muse and music as the medium to find beauty in what many times seems like rubble. And You Falter promises to reflect a significant portion of the human experience in just 6 songs. From nostalgia to regret, wounding to healing, despair to hope, the EP contains enough subject matter to provide an entire emotional and mental experience in just a single 30-minute rotation.
