In the modern era of the heavy metal genre; you find a lot of different styles or sub genres which encompass a multitude of influences that have ultimately defined many bands' unique sound. But in recent history, it seems that in the endless struggle for bands to try to out compete one another, the pure strain of heavy metal has been rejected and lost to androgynous (homo-erotic) fashion, and musicianship that stands on the wrong side of the line between genius and stupidity. The Judas Syndrome will serve to usher in the return of the truest form of metal, THRASH FUCKING METAL!
TJS is a line up of truly talented and veteran musicians from the NYC Metal and Hardcore scene that helped keep the fire of true metal alive in New York. Composed of ex-members of Afflitus, Stifling Neglect, and the mighty Irate, The Judas Syndrome aim to be a hard hitting thunderous wall of aggression and frenzy that will uphold the progress of metal since the great era of the "Big 4" but focus on bringing back the most important style...THRASH!
With all members having toured, nationally and internationally, earning critical acclaim and praise along the way, we’re still down to make new friends, keep old friends, and bring a sonic assault that might very well vaporize small children and animals. We’re fun loving dudes who love playing metal.
