Andrew Dixon - Vocals
Niall Murphy - Guitars
Stuart Hennessy - Drums
On Wednesday the 11th of April, 1984, a miraculous event took place that would change the world forever.... Andrew Stephen Dixon was born. Through out his life Andrew showed a keen interest in music and has been ripping up the mic from the age of 6. When he was 16 he formed a funk rock band called The Handsum Binmen and it was here that Andrew truely discovered his passion for music and songwriting. After a couple of years playing the pubs and clubs in Dublin city the lads decided to call it a day but Andrew decided to keep playing despite the fact he only knew about 4 chords and eventually started playing support to local rockers The Finest. After 2 or 3 gigs Andrew invited his friend, Niall Murphy (owner of the red washburn guitar that Andrew was using for gigs), to play with him.
Niall Murphy has been playing guitar as long as he can remember. Growing up in Bray, Co. Wicklow he was known locally for his work with Godsuit and cover band Twisted Melon, Niall quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with around the area. Niall and Andrew began playing together in May 2006. Andrew wrote some songs and Niall played some guitar. The Juice. Sorted. Niall Murphy loves guitar. He makes love to it every time he plays a gig. Just look at his sex face every time he slides his fingers up and down the slender neck of his beautiful guitar. In early 2007 The Juice were offered a chance to go to London and record and thats when they decided to bring their songs to a new level. Thats when drummer Stuart Hennessy stepped up. Howya Stu...
Stuart Hennessy is a young blonde fellow from Sallynoggin, Co. Dublin, who loves to make noise. He is the youngest of 4 children and was exposed to alot of different music growing up. When he reached his teens he decided music was his calling and got himself a couple of turntables. After a few gigs playing house parties he decided the processed beats and songs were simply not enough anymore and shortly after he got some drums, formed a band called The Finest and made some funky noise. It was only a matter of time till they decided to play together. Stu this is Niall, Niall, Stu.. The Juice were ready to go to London..
The Juice recorded their first album in May 2007 in Shoreline Studios, London with acclaimed producer Lee Hirons. In November 2007 they released 'Chasing the Comfort', a melodic 11 track album bursting with catchy songs, strong vocals and a solid backbeat. The album has sold over 1000 copies and is continuing to be downloaded online. It recieved great reviews all over the world. Barack Obama said it is his favourite album of all time. In October 2008, The Juice returned to London to record again, this time producing a 12 track album, Truth Lies in Music, set for release this April and promise that its bigger, better and Juicier than ever. The Juice is worth the squeez! In the past year alone, The Juice have played over 100 gigs and have no intention of stopping anytime soon, they're having way too much fun and sometimes get free pints.
