"...sinister like Tom Waits, by-the-hearth like Iron and Wine."
-The Boston Phoenix
"...a bit Icelandic static electricity with a glacial melt into Elliott Smith, may he rest in peace."
-Claudine Ko, Giant Robot
“...a sparse, yet well-crafted and tasteful electronic landscape... In the end, the Juliet Kilo prove that seemingly random pops, sweeps and even static can be intimate and heartfelt.”
-Robin Hilton, NPR’s All Songs Considered
The Juliet Kilo (David Levin) is made of electronics and video. It's microscopic noise divided by electric pop. It was born 2003 in the cold wilderness of northern Ohio, through the tender union of cheap guitars, dime store organs, computer glitch and homemade instruments. The Juliet Kilo has since migrated to Boston, MA, where it makes music at the Compound 440R collective.
