The Jump'n Jukes are a quartet of seasoned musicians in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area. Live set lists consist of a gumbo mix of Chicago, Delta, West Coast, and Texas BLUES. The band originally formed in 2003 and has been building steam with live audiences since. The band members all have extensive backgrounds within the roots music world and truly have a passion for the Blues. Steve Sams' versatile harp playing and hard edged voice along with open fingered Hollywood Fats - like guitar riffs from Saily, front the band's sound. Add the in-the-pocket and walking bass of Atlanta's best Blues bottom end guy, Mark McCoy, and Pete Bennie's dynamic swing on the drums, and you have one of the best lineups on the circuit. Highlights of the band have been opening for The Fabulous Thunderbirds in North Carolina, and most recently a new CD titled "BOTTOMS UP BOOGIE", recorded and produced by Paul Diffin at Chapkin Studio, Woodstock, Georgia. The CD is comprised of nine Jump'n Jukes' original tunes, and four traditional, thoughtfully selected covers.
