TUESDAY 19 FEBRUARY
King Mojo of Sheffield Presents Live at The red House

Back with the first show of the year, come and treat yourselves through a musical journey down at the Red House.

4 LIVE ACTS

RAMBLIN RED http://www.myspace.com/theoldchangingway
A one man duet - Acoustic folk blues
"i used to run with Captain Lonesome and the gang and we'd all sing and play us some for the folks, 'round allover mostly when we'd take to wanderin' and wonderin' but we took to feeling restless and they hit the lonesome freights, so now im just rambling on, meeting the people and lookin' for a home".

BEN CARTWRIGHT http://www.myspace.com/benhelmutjohn
Musical impressionism guitarism poet
Jim Morrison with acoustic guitar
"Ben is probably the most interesting singer songwriter I've ever heard. His lyrics are so poetic that they stand up equally well on their own as they do with musical accompaniment and the music perfectly marries the intellectualism of classical guitar with the raw edge of folk." (Giant Hit Discotheque Albums)
Jim Morrison with acoustic guitar.

TOM STUCKEY BAND http://www.myspace.com/tomstuckeyband
Folk blues and poetry
Beautiful arrangements of mandolins, guitars, fiddles and harmonicas with one of the best voices in Sheffield, gutsy raw blues fused with passion and quality musicianship.
Witness the unrefined acoustic stone house of the rising Tom.

THE INNER STATE CIRCUS http://www.myspace.com/theinnerstatecircus
Melody, rhythm and rhyme
It's not that they can't make their minds up but more that they cannot resist the inner states

The Moor Music Festival

It seems like years since the last Moorfest happened and to be honest I think the weather was very much a factor in whether people enjoyed themselves or not. Some thrived in the mud whilst others wept until their dads could pick them up. Moorfest is still carving an identity for itself and in the three years that it has been established I think I can say that the one thing that most people love about it is the friendly atmosphere, and this gig is a good opportunity to meet up with friends that perhaps you haven't seen since the festival, to make new friends, enjoy quality music, get a flavour of Moorfest if you haven't already been and also to talk to the organisers in order to give your opinions on how to improve the festival.
We'll also be projecting your favourite photos that you've taken from previous Moorfests to create a live mashup that will adorn the walls of the Brudenell so please send them to bandsformoorfest@yahoo.co.uk and make sure that everyone in the picture is cool for you to use them like this.

There'll be much more to boot like gorgeous organic food, t-shirt stall, films and raffles to win tickets to Moorfest 4 which we're working on right now and aim to make it the best yet.

We really appreciate your continued support in making Moorfest what it is and hope to see you all there.

Team Moorfest x
Miles Cain

Oxjam national buskathon...

Quick reminder to those who wanna get involved... It's Saturday 20th October, locations to be confirmed with yer slot.

Please message me yer availability so GT & I can sort out times.

As u may have heard, we're not doing a traditional Buskathon, I'm not comfortable taking the food outo the mouths of our local community, so we'll be playing in courtyards, bars etc and shaking those tins damn hard!

Thanks for all yer support!

Peace
