"Bitter or sweet, all memories become precious as the years Move on". The just joans formed in north lanarkshire in 1997. They released their debut album, "last tango in motherwell", in 2005 on ivan lendil records. Tony kiernan of "Is this music" magazine described it as "...probably the best scottish album this year". It sold 7 copies, 4 of which tony bought. They have just released a mini-album, "virgin lips" (weepop records), a kind of aural equivalent to "gregory's girl", (hopefully), and are currently working on another mini-album provisionally titled "hey boy, you're oh so sensitive". oioi arrived in Peru last night safe and sound after a 16 hr plane flight!aye right.was bored out ma nut , in a hostel for a week then headin to the shanty town.lima looks quality loads a graffiti all over looks like a really run down poor place,think were going into town today to buy sim cards an stuff . will you let mum know im here alright even fly here a text cos a canny contact her till ive sorted out the phone banter. hope alls well anyway ,monk x

Hey, I had a lovely time catching up with you and Chris. You'll need to remind me when your next gig is, my memory is like a siv :) You guys will need to come up over the summer and we'll have a party in your honor and show you the bright lights of Dundee! I start my job on Monday at the framers. I'm trying to prepare myself for those early morning starts but so far failing miserably, I woke up at 12 today... oh well make the most of it I say. :)

Rio Cafe was a blast, it was a solo piano set which I should have video footage of available at some point in the future. Yes, I am between Cumnock, Glasgow, Stirling and Ayr, making independent art, working 9 to 5, completing my Masters in Housing and watching shitty movies, so as much as is poss things are awesome. Next Glasgow gig is sometime in June or July for the Nacional single launch, which should be brilliant, that will be a Roscoe Vacant and the Kamikazes show. I see Mark E is playing the Wickerman this year. Nowt much else on the bill, thinking about going to Rowf! Rowf! Rowf! in manchester in August to see the mighty Jandek. When's the next Just Joans gig?
