THEKANEBROTHERS, formerly NovaKane, made up of brothers Bill, Mike and Chris Kane are from Stoughton, MA. Having shared a 12x12 bedroom growing up, THEKANEBROTHERS learned to appreciate each other's musical tastes and now find themselves collaborating on tunes that have roots of pop, rock, jazz, and all things in between.
The band was formed in 1995. Mike Kane on guitar and lead vocals, Chris Kane on bass and vocals and Bill Kane on drums and vocals. A three piece, no frills, band of brothers who love to play.
THEKANEBROTHERS have played a wide variety of shows over the last 10 years. Not only have they played in some of the most popular spots in Boston (including Fenway Park!), they also played with multi-platinum artists The Barenaked Ladies at the Mix 98.5 Holiday Hodown at the Fleet Center and at several other venues around Boston.
THEKANEBROTHERS released their first CD titled Jiggle it a little, itll Open in 1998 which was recorded at Courtlen Recording in Hanson, MA. The band released their 2nd CD, a 9 song effort titled What's Inside on July 30th, 2005. The CD includes the song Favorite Day which features Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies on vocals.
