THE GUGGING ALBUM by Kava & Hans-Joachim Roedelius has been inspired by the atmosphere of paintings and graphics by various Art Brut Gugging artists like Tschirtner, Walla or Limberger. The album will be exclusively available in Art Brut Centre Gugging in June and regularly released in summer of 2008.
The house of artists is a small building on top of a hill next to the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods), approximately 12 miles North of Vienna. Since 1981 it has been housing the Gugging Artists, people who have gained a worldwide reputation due to the high quality of their drawings, paintings, writings and objects. They count among the most important representatives in the artistic field of Art Brut. Presently the House gives home to 11 residents, 8 of which are artistically active.

After remixing the likes of cay taylan (couch records), mauracher (fabrique) and waxolutionists, appearing on compilations such as "delicious tunes" and "superfabrique" he dropped his first ep "hidden & direct" on fabrique in 2002 and got outstanding reviews. even his his debut lp "the empty hall sessions" (2004) and 12" "blue man" (incl. remix by tm juke) smashed in the clubs and on radio stations such as austria's fm4, coldcut's solid steel on bbc radio one, london's xfm, radio magnetic, clyde 1 fm (glasgow) and so forth.
