"Out of sight out of mind"--so they think. About 400 homeless people live in this camp. *************************************************************Defeat Lungren’s Racist Bill HR1940:*********************** To all US Registered Voters: Write or call your US Congress member and tell him/her not to pass Dan Lungren's (R) bill HR1940. This bill, if passed, will delete much of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution so that babies born on US soil will no longer be considered US citizens if their mother is from a foreign country. The law is focused on denying citizenship for babies born to Mexican women who live/work in the USA but are who are not US citizens themselves. This is a bigoted measure aimed at Mexican residents and laborers. The very foundation of US citizenship is by birthright in this country, first given by tradition and later by law [the 14th Amendment].
