"Listening to the Kick Kick Murder Squad's 'Lower 6' cd is very much like being hit repeatedly in the face with something sharp, sex-flavoured and heavy. Jackhammering drum beats chasing you full-pelt through each song, beautifully, fiendishly simple guitars crashing and roaring, and harsh, no-bullshit vocals straight out of the grotty hardcore shows of them good old days, and unarguably the best samples ever taken by a band. All of this hitting you again and again and again etc. in thirty-second-or-less blasts of brutality. It's not quite metal, it's not quite punk, it's somewhere in between, and fuck me, it's good.
