The Killing Cure is an explosion of high-energy rock music laced with dreamy insanity and bone crushing riffs. Simmering in the underbelly of Oslo’s rock underground, this band is near their boiling point, ready to tear the top off the music scene. The band has no regard for genre, era or rules creating a melting pot of sound and creativity.
Their self-titled debut EP, released in January 2008 is pumped with blood rushing beats, stabbing guitar riffs and lashing melodies that will intoxicate you from the first track to the last. You’ll get absorbed in a hypnotizing spiral with increasing intensity with songs like To The Groove and Go Low, which have been featured on NRK P3, Radio Tango and KNAC (USA).
The Killing Cure’s live performance is where the light shines it’s brightest. Their hour-long set will send you into a trance of ecstasy and bliss. The Killing Cure have been gigging in Norway the past two years, playing nearly every rock scene in Oslo including Øyafestivalen 2007.
The band is currently working on their first full-length album. They are sifting through and experimenting with a multitude of new material that will surely give you the cure you have been craving. With an unofficial release date for the album, the band wishes to have it on the shelves of fall 2008.
