We are a blues and classic rock band from North San Diego
County.
Wes Weber is the lead guitar player and the most experienced
musician in the band. In the 1980's Wes was the bass player for
a Cleveland Ohio based band called "Mistreater". They put out a
couple of albums (now collectors items) and opened up for Night
Ranger and a few other popular bands at that time. Most recently
Wes was the bass player for the San Diego based bands
"Caravello" and "Crying Out Loud" which played local gigs in the
bars and casinos and did some minor touring, Crying out Loud
was one of the bands that opened for the Doobie Brothers and
SteppenWolf at the San Diego Sports Arena.
Charlie Esquivel is the Bass player, and is not lacking in energy
and style. Charlie was born in Van Nuys California and lived
there until he was 12 at which time his family moved to El Paso,
Texas and then later to Escondido, California. Charlie's musical
influences are Stone Temple Pilots and The Mars Volta.
Jonathan Soss is on Rythym Guitar and vocals. Musically
influenced by Rock, Blues and Classic Country, he complements
the style of music that we play. Jonathan was born and raised in
Los Angeles and moved to San Diego in 1991. He spent 16 years
of his professional life as a graphic designer. Now, as a corporate
refugee, he resides naked in a tree in an undisclosed super-secret
location. Currently he spends his days leading the fight to have
congress overturn it's ban on Lawn Darts.
Randy Brummer lays down the beat for 'The King Bees' on the
drums. Randy grew up in Northern California and has played in
many different types of bands from punk rock to progressive rock
to alternative. Randy's biggest influences are Mike Portnoy of
Dream Theatre, Neil Pert of Rush, and Danny Carey of Tool.
April Pendergraft, singer, lyricist, and bringer of whimsy and
terrible jokes, was kicked out of clown college for being a smart- mouthed rebel who plays by her own rules. She turned in
her giant clown shoes, looked back at that tiny car with 60 of her classmates in it, and rolled on down that desert road. Pennyless and without remorse, she was hitchhikking through North County when a band of traveling minstrels came a'buzzin' by. The King Bees graciously took her in and fed her (but never after midnight), and in return she washed dishes and made hamburger pie. Once, they caught her singing while mincing tomatoes, and after they determined a neighborhood cat was not in fact being strangled, their search for a singer came to a joyous close.
