Influences
Too many to mention, but I love Big Daddy Weave, SCC, Bebo, Matthew West, Dave Lubbens, Andrew Peterson, Herb Alpert and the Tijuanna Brass, The Canadian Brass, Rush, Aaron Shust, Third Day, and if you can make any sense out of this, you are better than I.
My name is Gordon Court, and I am a singer and song writer from the St. Cloud area, living in Fargo, North Dakota.
I perform a mixture of my own original music, contemporary Christian covers, and 60’s/70’s acoustic folk/rock music, this is the blend that I call 'Acoustic Americana', and it reaches a varied and vast audience. I do sets of up to 4 hours.
I have been involved in music since childhood and have performed locally in the Fargo-Moorhead area and throughout the Midwest for about 6 years.
I have been listed several times as the Best Bet for entertainment by the Fargo Forum Newspaper's entertainment page.
I am also a member of the Contemporary Worship Team at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, and previously had been a Worship Leader and member of the Worship Team at Hope Lutheran in Fargo, ND for over 9 years.
Prior to Fargo, I was involved in music at several churches in the Minneapolis, MN area and was a member of the Acappella Concert Choir at St. Cloud State University for 2 years.
I was a winner of MN, Regional and State Vocal Competitions in High School, at Albany High, and took voice lessons for 4 years.
In 1997, I moved to Fargo from the Twin Cities and since moving have taken up the guitar and harmonica and begun performing with them.
I have been performing secular music in coffee shops and other venues and have also helped numerous Churches get started with their contemporary music, and done outreach ministries for special music during services and contemporary Christian Concert performances at Churches and other venues.
I provide professional sound with the use of the Bose L1 system. This system is an accurate, state of the art sound reproduction system and is exceptional for venues from 5 to 1000 patrons.
