After being MIA for the past few months, Kinstone is back at work doing what they love and doing it better than ever. Marcus Terry, John Sahnger, Jordan Hughes, and new full time bassist and guitar player, Dar Zaccaro, have taken the first steps in a journey as a band reborn. "Our new music is a lot easier to soak in," commented Jordan Hughes. "It has some old Kinstone in the mix, but we've really changed our general foundation. We want to make music we'll be proud of later in life, and we want to make music that everyone can enjoy." When asked about the sudden line up change, Terry commented, "We had some difficulties arise with our former bassist, Tony Hossri, and we decided it would be best for both our band and Tony if he continued to make music with his other band (Burn Down Vendetta). We still are great friends with Tony, and while John (Sahnger) was out of town, Tony recorded bass for two of our new songs, 'Paper Embers' and 'Warning'." After Hossri's departure, Dar Zaccaro was brought in to play bass and guitar. "Dar is a truly creative individual, a great musician, and one of the most fun guys I know. It's been really cool working with him because he brings a whole different style to the band," said Terry. "Once you get that kid focused on something he commits wholeheartedly. Now I just have to figure out how to keep him focused." *Laughs* The band has been asked by fans why they haven't played shows since earlier this year. "We're still in school and we all have responsibilities to take care of," said Sahnger. "Dar and I work, Jordan has had marching band every week, and Marcus always has his theater stuff going on. It's been tough to make time for a show or even feel ready for one, but they're coming soon, so be patient." "I think we've found a place musically where we aren't afraid to experiment, but aren't going to try and do things out of place. We want to make music for musicians and for everyday listeners, and our old music isn't what we want to sound like anymore. I think our old fans will like the change because we're still the same guys, but we've improved upon everything. If anything, we're more Kinstone than we were because we're thinking on a grander scale and we've matured a lot as people and as song writers. It's the first time in our band's history where we all truly feel good about what we're doing, and I hope everyone enjoys our new art as much as we do," stated Terry. So drop in and have a listen, and if you like what you hear, spread the word. Every great movement has to start somewhere, and you can help by telling your friends and family and maybe coming to a show. Kinstone will continue to make music because the members love making music. Enjoy.
