The Kinzie Affair was formed in 2006 when members Cory Sheppard (vocals, guitar), Ty Caskey (guitar, vocals), and Chance Johnson (guitar, keys, vocals) sought a music project that would mix their alternative rock music roots with an accessible progressive rock format. After recruiting bassist Alex Alldrin and drummer Josh Bacich, the band began booking shows along the west coast, rapidly gaining popularity along the way with their powerful, vocally driven power pop.
Each member has been playing and performing for at least eight years, making them far from being musical strangers. Instead, they are seasoned professionals, perfecting their craft in a way that is inventive and enjoyable for all listeners.
The Kinzie Affair has played shows with such popular bands as Pat Monahan, The Color Fred, Lovehatehero, Augustana, Tumbledown, Weatherbox, Dizmas, and Ace Enders, and continues to draw large crowds in the Modesto area at such venues as Sidelines, The Queen Bean, and Hero’s.

hey u guys did sooo awesome last night... it was hella sick when Corie and Chance came and stood up on them speakers in front of us.. U guys sang ur hearts out and it was amazing... Ty u did some savage guitars solos i was hecka screaming for u... Al u were simply awesome i wish i couldve seen u more through all the people but it was cool wen u came up front a little so i could see ur awesome self :) ... and josh u banged it good lol u always look like u r having soo much fun and u guys all make me smile!!!!! You guys are with out a doubt the BEST thing to happen to Modesto since they built the first taco Bell here many many years ago! You guys are the band that is going to put Modesto on the map....in a good way! Rock on and have a great show tonight!
