That'n Makes Me Cry Pa!
Did you ever wonder if those crazy song titles on the Andy Griffith Show, that "made Charlene cry", were real songs? Nope, they weren't, but now they are! Those crazy song titles were a running gag on the episodes with the Darlings and brought lots of laughs. I'm a big fan of Andy Griffith and the Darling Boys (the Dillards) and I thought those titles really deserved some lyrics and music, so I hope you enjoy my collection of 9 songs titled, "That'n Makes Me Cry Pa!" All 9 of these titles were mentioned on the show, but were not sung or had another real bluegrass song played in their place. Thanks for stopping by. In case we haven't met, here's a basic introduction. I'm a creative guy from Texas. My life is shared with my wonderful wife Leesa, my 4 kids, church activities, painting, songwriting, and playing and singing Bluegrass music. Oh, and my day job too.
I was born in 1961 in Freeport, Texas, where the humidity is so thick you can slice it and mosquitoes are so big that they fly in formation. Moved around Texas with the family growing up, but mostly lived in Angleton. Leesa and I have been in Flower Mound since 1996. I'm a member of the Southwest Bluegrass Club (Grapevine, TX), play banjo (intermediate), mandolin (intermediate), guitar (basic), and sing lead and tenor harmony for the band "Easy Pickinz".
