Them fancy London types don't know the pleasure of eating chips with fingers....... Martin and James have been exercising with instrumentation since the age of about 15 when the latest fad in school was playing guitar/drums. We're the only ones left now!? James and Martin are lazy and like drinking and other mild addictions so have taken our time to reach this far.
We both grew up in doncaster but, there's scouse in Martin and lutonian in James. Being from these places we know it's nurture not nature, but we found each other and have grown up nothing like northerners or southerners.(well, mostly northern) We are unique you might say. You don't say?? oh well as you were then.
The music is indescribable to us because we are generally rubbish at describing genres/styles, especially about our own music but we bloody like it so you will to. Martin likes mostly old/some new music, James likes mostly new/some old music.
After a cacophony of gigs the ball was rolling after a lot of wasted time and certain other mediating factors. Everybody bloody loves the sound, whatever it may be,punky/rocky/indie/eski-beats, wether we all perform or not. The potential is there and we will not waste it. I don't like commiting crimes against fate.It will catch up with thee in the thee end? yeah that'll do.
Demo done so we now need a fanbase! and to relocate permanently to Manchester or Leeds. (With the aid of a van).
Many, many bands at the moment are absolutely shite so we would very very much like to give people something worth talking about like the dawningof a new age or anything like that. I can't speak for Martin here but I on the other hand have a lot of pent up annoyance and disgust with the world right now so we WILL be out there and we will NOT be having day jobs.
Our new drummer is Gavin Porter, he is a Donny lad and fits in well with the dynamics of the band as his hair is blond. This means we have a blond a brown and a ginger, some might say the ultimate unison of hair colourings. Expect to see the new kiw! line-up very soon if not right now! Our drummers have changed a lot after a few experimental phases but the sound has the same riotous effect whoever drums with us, we think it must be Ra the Egyptian sun god getting behind us but we're yet to confirm this because, after all, if you're paranoid and it's true, well my friend, you're not paranoid!
alright chaps, the old west st live page is nowt to do with us- was made by the previous owners. We'll see you at one of those student gigs here in the autumn, will drop you a message with full details very soooooooooooon
i wanted to come see you next fri but have a new job so have to work boo hoo :-( although i needed a new job as after the last ideal standard gig i didnt actually make it to work..... :-)x

yeah man cheers its going well at the moment, got a bit of label interest but we're only gonna take a deal if its the right one. So many record labels trying to fuck people over out there!!
Well done for your first gig, don't worry if it al went wrong. We did a gig the other day and it was HORRIBLE!!! The standard of music was fine just stuff broke every 30 secs! no word of a lie we broke: 4 leads, 2 guiatrs, one bass, 2 pedals, one bass amp, one snare, one high hat stand, one kick pedal, the PA and the airconditioner (well, elvis is dead broke the aircon and PA but i think we def contributed or jinxed it or something!) but we still got a few fans outta the gig so dont worry!!! I'm sure people didnt notice that much!
Lemme know when you want a nottingham gig and i'll sort it for ya!!
james smeaton said that lucy vann and i can be the bez's of this band. as you can see from my display photo i'm a dab hand at the ukelele, kind of. i can do a few notes on that and dance around looking glam the rest of the time. how does that sound to the band? xxx
