The Republic of Iceland is a European island country located in the North Atlantic Ocean. It has a population of about 320,000 and a total area of 103,000 km². Its capital and largest city is Reykjavík, whose surrounding area is home to some two-thirds of the national population. Located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Iceland is volcanically and geologically active on a large scale; this defines the landscape. The interior mainly consists of a plateau characterised by sand fields, mountains and glaciers, while many big glacial rivers flow to the sea through the lowlands. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, Iceland has a temperate climate relative to its latitude and provides a habitable environment and nature.

THE RUBYS FIRST BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA - 3 MORE SLEEPS
One year ago, on a lonely Wednesday evening at a forgettable Collingwood pub, The Rubys played their first gig. Twelve months on, the three scrappy-looking lads have under their belts better songs, more gigs and are infecting Melbourne audiences with catchy, raw, stomp rock n roll pretty much weekly. So to mark the milestone of reaching the ripe old age of one, The Rubys are celebrating with a birthday party! With around 40 gigs down over the previous year and a wildly raucous live set, there has been a lot of jumping around and beer consumed so this Friday at the Old Bar will be no exception. Expect some wild blues-driven sets by The Volatiles and The Bellows to warm things up, and the boy’s favourite two-piece The Cheats bringing it all home. 8:30 start, $8, Party hats provided.

Hey ya'll haha, so you caught it huh ;) we did it for a division of the abc who approached us a while back lookin for young muso people. It was good times, filmings such a pain in the ass though haha.
So yeah, how you guys been ? Playing at oaf hey, throw some dates & ill defs be there. We been pretty lazy, everyones just doing school stuff. Gonna get off our arses soon though, looking at putting a new act together grae & myself.
