About The Knockout

It’s been about a year since these four musicians decided to join forces and there is no stopping them now. Since their start in 2007 they took the local music lovers by surprise with an aray of music ranging from rock to blues to metal to dance. Once they had a few local shows under their belts they took things out of town. When they stopped in Yorkton to play a battle of the bands they knocked out the competition, so to speak, winning them recording time, an opening spot for the Northern Pikes and airplay on the radiostation 94.1 Fox Fm. From there they went on to play festivals such as Dauphin's Countryfest, Ridgefest, Rockin' the River, and Rockin the Fields of Minnedosa opening up for many bands including Harlequin, Kenny Shields and Streetheart and playing alongside many other great bands. Over the winter things slowed down, as most things do when they get cold, as three of the members went back to Brandon University to work on there music degree's. This, however, did not stop the band. In town they still manage to play local venues for the local fans opening up for name bands such as 54-40 and headlining their own shows. When they weren't studying or playing they still managed to record an EP entitled Disk One that was released in December. As things are heating up again be sure to watch out for The Knockout.
