Peter "pops" Williams - guitar, pipe, slippers, tartan rug, mug of Horlicks, five a day.
Dave 'the wolfman' Taylor - drums, broken limbs, unfathomable attachment to warm cans of Strongbow.
Neil Walsh - guitar, vocals, sandpaper, kazoo, rubbish ideas for percussion.
Sam Hedges - Bass, new face, 40 a day.
Influences
The Wrens, I, Ludicrous, Deerhoof, Pixies, Art Brut, Nick Cave, Make-Up, Mclusky, early Manics, Ikara Colt, Slits, Clash, The Bridge Gang, Mogwai, ...Trail of Dead, Flipron, Miller Sisters, Afghan Whigs, Detroit Cobras, Les Savy Fav.... lists are quite boring arent they.
The Known Unknowns have been described as "leviathans with piercing guitars, jerky vocals and demonic bass lines" (Gigwise) and write spiky distinctive and inventive songs about misinformation, drinking, kerb-crawlers, jargon, singer-songwriters, ambulance chasers, hyperbole, why being in a band is rubbish and vacuum cleaning.
Their music has been compared to T-Rex, Bloc Party, the Fall, Joy Division and, although the Lord alone knows why, Metallica. In any case, the band strives to make guitar music where creativity isnt confined to finding the right band to steal from and matching it with the right jacket.

"The contageously jingling 'Junior' rips apart limbs, tears through braincells and implants itself firmly within your soul.... In short, I like this band." - Pow Pow Pow magazine
"Imagine the falls best meandering moments fused with the dance pomp of Talk Talk at their bleakest mixed with the Melodic bent of Pulp on a very good day" - Jeremy Chick - Subba-Cultcha
"...they have something to say, but they understand that its a message more likely to find favour if wrapped round with the kind of slinky, but snaggy riffs found on Who Needs the Pouring Rain? The Known Unknowns are fucking top" - Unpeeled
"...each song exudes intelligence and is teeming with creativity. The Known Unknowns need to be known" - Gigwise
"More like this please"- Russells Reviews

Mama Shamone – THESE GUYS AREN’T PLAYING LIVE (except one acoustic) EXCEPT AT GLASTO FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR! http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone “Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar
We Yes You No www. myspace. com/weyesyouno “We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck
Language http://www. myspace. com/languageuk “"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear
