The Kold War is a musical pandemic infecting listeners from the USA to Russia with its addictive hooks, angular guitars, and lush melodies. This powerful mixture of American indie pop infused with Russian arena rock immerses the listener in a sonic kaleidoscope that is a truly original musical experience - The Kold War.
In August of 2005, Zhenya Sydorov a Russian, living in Ukraine, persuaded the U.S. State Department to allow him to attend school in America. Through persistence and luck Zhenya met twin brothers and American record producers, Marc Johnson and Eric Klee Johnson, while touring their studio, The Pop Machine. (www.thepopmachine.com). The brothers and Zhenya quickly became friends and decided to collaborate on a completely new musical concept. After learning of the project, legendary session drummer, Kenny Aronoff, agreed to provide the explosive beat for The Kold War. Kenny Aronoff, who also has Ukrainian roots, has played with countless other artists including Mick Jaggar, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Dylan, Jon Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp and Iggy Pop, to name a few. The provocative sound of The Kold War will hit you like an atom bomb but Don't Duck and Cover. Open your ears, your mind and your soul to The Kold War.

'Broken Record Tactics' is a fun little record for fans of Cartel and The Starting Line. If you're in the mood for some chirpy, melodic pop-punk with a bit of a rockier edge, you could do a lot worse than to check them out.' - Punktastic.com
