"THE KRIMSON don't do anything by halves. Big riffs, giant beats, huge
harmonies, and choruses so massive they have their own gravitational
pull.
Carefully treading the line between blusey rock and a laid-back west
coast groove, THE KRIMSON are a band on the up."
EDD McCRACKEN, SUNDAY HERALD
“After the top track "Comfort Zone" being released on the critically acclaimed " The Big Indie Comeback", a compilation album featuring the best and hottest new worldwide artists and bands, The Krimson have been signed to Matchbox Recordings for their stunning and epic debut album "Stone Cold Heart". Featuring a mix of dreamy, powerful, riff powered indie rock with a majestic, melodic and timeless drive.”
DALE OLIVIER MATCHBOX RECORDINGS
“They may have an album entitled “Stone Cold Heart” but the Krimson delivered some red hot rock at the Renfrew Ferry. Celebrating the release of their debut disc, the trio took the floating venue by storm….with a blistering set of songs from the new album….playing songs that positively simmered with musical creativity and pure emotion….if you see a local gig advertised, it‘s got to go in the ’must see’ category”
JAMES TRIMBLE FALKIRK HERALD
"Stone cold heart" is an epic debut album of dreamy, timeless guitar based proper songs with a melodic, melancholy but uplifting feel. These are heartfelt real songs of emotion, life, love and passion in the mood of The Psychedelic Furs, Big Country and Spear of Destiny"
MATCHBOX RADIO 24
Stone cold heart is now available from
Amazon.co.uk,
CD Baby in the USA or
direct from The Krimson themselves.
Three piece indie guitar band based in Falkirk, although all three members of the band have gigged together in various other bands all over the UK. The decision to form up as a stripped down, everything laid bare trio is a reflection of their belief in the impact that their songs deliver even in the simplest of forms.
Up until recently Stevie was the sole songwriter and brought complete songs for arrangement by the band however since moving into their own studio they've started to write as a band, with encouraging results! "Erosion" is the first song resulting from this fresh approach and will be available for download on myspace soon.
After "Comfort Zone" was released on "The Big Indie Comeback", a compilation album featuring the best and hottest new worldwide artists and bands, The Krimson have been signed to Matchbox Recordings for their debut album "Stone Cold Heart" which was released in November '06.

Yo Stevie, how's trick's mate. Wondered if you'd notice who i was! LOL! Most folk just accept add's without really checking who they're adding....like me! lol!
That's awesome yir coming to the gig, give you an idea of our live sound before we come into record.
I'll need to arrange to come & check out your lecky kit & see if it's gonna work for me.
I've checked out the Roland D range and although i like the size of the pads, not convinced on the synthetic sounds. Was gonna buy one though for the house to practice on, but have decided to get the brand new YAMAHA DTX EXTREME. The sounds are all sampled directly from the top range YAMAHA acoustic kits and ZILDJIAN cymbal samples. Cymbals on the synthetic kits generally aren't so great.
Obviously if i had the cash, i'd rather use one of my acoustic kit's. Got 2, the ridiculously HUGE Pearl EX-ISS 7 piece i use for gigging, and just bought a Pearl MCX MASTERS specifically for recording. It's gorgeous, 8 ply Maple kit, brand spankin. Only gigged it once JUST to see how it sounded mic'd up! Man, it basically played itself and the other drummers at the gig were all threatening to steal it when i wasny lookin', dumb fucks....if only they knew! lol!
Anyway, be cool to see you at the Glasgow gig, the band we're supportin' have recently supported Audioslave & Status Quo a couple o times. They just done a live recording on radio 2 also. Pretty good band; PAY*OLA, on my top friends list.

We are now offering artists and bands from the Falkirk area one page on our new site which will consist of a short biography, photo, links to music and contact details. We endeavor to build a strong database and information network for music and its associated organisations in Falkirk.
