The Kurmújun - formed in late 2006 - are a 4-piece Rock Band from Cambridge, England, specialising in classic/progressive rock music from the late 60s and the 70s.
New to The Kurmujun is Phil Morgan on vocals. Phil was a drummer for many years before being pushed into the spotlight.
Before The Kurmújun, Peter Boyd had not played bass on stage for around 15 years - despite it being his first instrument. This has brought a new energy and enthusiasm to his playing. He also plays flute and keyboards and sings backing vocals.
Mick Holloway is a very forceful and musical drummer and provides a great balance of tight playing when required and a looser jazzier feel when the band is able to stretch out on the more jam-based sections. Mick is also responsible for producing and playing various sound effects during the live show.
Stuart Pledger plays lead guitar and shares backing vocal duties with Peter. He also plays a set of midi bass pedals which are used for extra keyboard and bass parts.
