The L.A. Allstar Revue is here to preserve Jamaican music. Musicians over the past 15 years have been united and reunited to perform live, record, and have been honored to back some of the legends of Jamaica such as: Derrick Morgan, Dennis Alcapone, Stranger Cole and Ken Boothe.
The L.A. Allstar Revue intends to keep the music alive and lends itself to being a creative outlet for musicians and vocalists who honor the roots of Jamaican music. The name is inspired by the old Motown revue shows and there is a sense of that when you see them perform.

Jamaican bandleader Byron Lee has died at 73 after a long fight against cancer.
Byron Lee, founder of the Dragonaires has passed away at the University Hospital of the West Indies on Tuesday. The Jamaican veteran who was hospitalised in Miami, Florida, suffered from cancer since 2006.
He was back in Jamaica two weeks ago to be conferred with the OJ on October 26. Bandleader Byron Lee founded The Dragonaires in the middle 50’s. From mento to soca, they released several hits and played a pioneering role to bring Jamaican music to the World.
