The time had come; all the elements were in place. The co-conspirators had completed their circle and their work was nearly done. Working solely by night, under the guiding vision of I'l Dottore, they had honed and perfected their formulae and now their nocturnal experimentation was beginning to bear fruit. Deep within the labyrinth of passageways and halls within the long abandoned asylum, surrounded by technology of the past and present, they breathed life into their mutant creations.
Hidden away from prying eyes and ears, they manipulated science, music and magic, bending it to their will until everything was note perfect like clockwork. Now the time was coming to release its dark power on an unsuspecting world.
I stood in the laboratory that lay at the heart of this fortress-like shell of a building. Moonlight danced a melancholic hue over the long abandoned passageways and halls as a haunting serenade filled their emptiness. Shadows crossed in and out of sight, too quick to pin down, blurry phantoms in the weak light.
I turned to I'l Dottore….
“You’ve seen them too…” He murmured in a low voice
“They only come out at night, fleeting shadows that seem to be everywhere at once…don’t worry.. it’s only NightPorter”
“But this place is emp…” His sudden absence cut short my sentence.
I was locked in the abandoned asylum, cold, a little bit disturbed and with no-one for company but the shadows and NightPorter.

Founder of "The Laboratory Obscure” is a total enigma. Using Alchemy and Frequency Analysis combined with arcane and occult practices, he is known to have been successful with experimentation in time travel. At least one of his current associates is suspected to be displaced in time, Dr Ordinaire from a time now no more. Another associate Raven, a strange mysterious creature has had many past encounters with I'l Dottore and all of them are currently hidden deep within the darkness of the laboratory, hard at work on the new "NightPorter" project.

Very little proven fact is known about Raven. He is rumoured to be of quite a considerable age and is also known to posses some strange supernatural abilities. He has been known to regularly associate with I'l Dottore, the founder of "The Laboratory Obscure", together they are currently collaborating with another illusive being, Dr Ordinaire, on The Laboratory Obscure's "NightPorter" experiments, the results of which are now available from The Laboratory Obscure.

A mystery within a mystery shrouded in rumour and myth, Dr Ordinaire is a renegade scientist and master occultist. He has long shared his arcane knowledge with Il Dottore as they strove to perfect their electronic alchemy.Their experiments blend science and the supernatural, manipulating electricity, frequency and age old practices to devastating effect. A natural born sinner, he has a taste for Absinthe and the dark side for inspiration. Many say he has walked the halls of history and is from a time long gone but can see times to be.

The Laboratory is a haven of collaboration bringing together artistic alchemists and Physicians of aural and visual media. There is much experimentation already underway within the vast enclaves of the laboratory; some are even secretly and securely hidden in very small rooms at the end of long dark passageways.
I’l Dottore, the founder of the laboratory, however, has recently completed some experiments in aural synchronicity which are currently available for public evaluation from the laboratory itself. Feel free to digest and consider his results.
It just so happens that I'l Dottore’s current experiment, the NightPorter project has found him, after many years of working alone, compelled to seek the collective experience of a number of similar, yet extremely diverse, peers in order to bring to completion a concept he has been dreaming of for many millennia!

Hi Laboratory Obscure, Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet. To celebrate the fact that we have now reached 25,000 plays on myspace, we are giving you a free MP3 of Rockabye Baby.
