WAYS FOR DAYS LIVE AT THE BOVINE SEX CLUB
Rising up from numerous punk, indie, emo, jazz and hardcore outfits, come four talented, energetic, and committed songwriters with a common vision. Four young souls with the courage to push ahead and the perseverance to see it through...
Originally founded by front man and Toronto native Julian Swift (Guitar/Vox) , The Labour Of only solidified its formal line up in August 2007 with Curtis Faux (Lead Guitar), Tosh Imai (Drums), and Brenton Ellis (Bass). With music and lyrics that grab you by the heartstrings and won't let go, these four hungry young men deliver a brash hard rock back beat with surprisingly open and personal lyrics.
Dubbing their style as “M4K HEARTCORE” after the postal code of the Julian’s home studio in East Toronto, their catchy and infectious songs are designed to keep your body moving and your brain thinking. Last year's 7 song demo “Moving Ahead” proved to be a popular item among the band's growing fan base and they are in the process of shopping material for a planned full-length due later this year.
Currently gigging in just about every venue around the Toronto and Ontario indie rock circuit, these boys are building momentum as they steam towards critical mass. If you like your music fast and melodic or slow and heavy, then you should keep your ears and your eyes peeled for The Labour Of.
