   About JL Press
I like zines. I make zines. I write 4-page interviews. Criticism is in context. That stuff may still matter.

Got my start in Spokane, self-publishing, freelancing and the like. Where I currently reside when I'm not shoved up against literature and 16 credits. A' not here, I'm on a bus in Seattle, and I like to volunteer at art-focused nonprofits. I have a vision, where I want to publish my next zine. But that doesn't happen too often anymore, so right now, I'm just going to focus on freelancing.

Today, I met an art major who got furious when I told her that I want to be an art critic.

i know, but i can no longer hide from my celebrity, i've decided. embrace it, i say! people will start recognizing me on the streets, start spreading nasty untrue rumors about me. such is the life, that's just how it goes, i'm told.

and if by "adorable" you mean "absolutely horrific" then i totally agree with you :):):)

They're pretty cool, if you go to a "good" one. You can watch others if you like or you can get up and share soemthing (totally optional) I've never gone to a slam nor have I perfomed in one but would like to go to one, soon. I'm kinda nervous/scared to perfom at a slam... when ever you have sometime maybee we can go to one..?

woh.. your realy dedicated driving all the way from Burlington to Seattle. Is that a long commute? I'm going to one this upcoming sunday. This particular one is every third sunday of each month. The place is called Cafe Allegro, at the U. District in seattle. I have never gone to this before... I think I would be coo :) I've, also, have gone to one at the U. District, the place is called Trabant(sp) Cafe' and my brother took me there once.

When December comes around, I'm going to focus on my poetry more. I'm directing a play, and maiting school work, so I'm not writing :( I can't stop thinking about writing. I know what I truly love and want b/c I'm missing it:) ~Mikeya

They are from Belingham and they do all ages all the time there. I known them for a long while, now... what day is this? I don't think I would have time for concerts :( maybee I could go on breaks or insted of going to an open mic I can go to a concert... I try to go to open mics more often-- haha :D

sweet, a concert does look fun. I do need to go to those more. I'm looking for ones that are free or under like five bucks-- The only type of concert that I would go to, now.. is open mics but I havn't been to one for a while and they're usualy free-- but so far away :( I wish cool things were in Renton though...

I think I'm going trick o treating with friends.. not sure.. I know I get off at 8, though.
