Just me. Susannah Austin. That's it. Unless you count my guitar, but She doesn't have a name. Should i name her? Or should guitars be masculine? should it be a He? The Europeans seem to see it as a feminine instrument... any comments are appreciated, as are suggestions on what to call her/him.

Sounds Like
someone once said joni mitchell crossed with joanna newsom. but he was drunk so i don't know whether to trust him. i think i sound like my mum. (her page is www.myspace.com/clairehamill. check her out) what do you think?
I'm a bouncy little singer songwriter of 21 from the Sussex coastline, with big hair and a big smile. I've been writing bits and bobs for a couple of years, my catalogue isn't extensive, but I seem to get a good feedback from the songs that i play, and that i like to play; i'd love to be able to write more and to sing more and to play around more, but life doesn't always permit that. I'm hoping to get gigging soon, when i get myself together to practice enough to feel competent to go out into the world.
I'm currently living and studying in the big smoke, where i'm in my second year of theatre training. My course took me to Estonia earlier this year from January to April; living and working away from home for 3months solid with stinted communication to the ones i love gave me a new perspective on my path and my material. I think geography is something that i've found really influential on myself as a person and therefore my writing and it's certainly broadened my horizons emotionally. I've experienced it before - I lived in Dublin for a year with my sister before i started my degree. It was an amazing year. Mr. O'Reilly was inspired by someone i met there. Anyone who gives it a listen might pick up on the references to streets and general comments on that beautiful city. I'll try and upload a couple of other tracks soon once i've got something down that i'm pleased with. These ones aren't the best quality, but i'm working on that. Well, mr/s reader, i hope you like what you hear; it was a joy to produce and hopefully it'll bring you a little joy in listening. much love xxxxx
Hey there Sue.. I don't mean to add to your already flooded 'comment inbox' as it were, but I just wanted to say hi! .. I believe you were due to see The Mighty Boosh around about now?!?! Anyway I bid you A Dieu. Noe. l
Miss Su, I've sat here in my flat, supposedly packing, but mostly listening to your songs and I must say you are an inspirational singer. I hope you make it in whatever you pursue and I know you will. Please record "how will da barfoot gurl escape da iwon shurts"! haha, i love you and keep in touch!!!! <3 britters
Hey there Lady! Yeah Bill Bailey was alright ya know. Managed to buy a ticket off some dude literally five minutes before the gig and it transpired that the ticket was in the second row from the front, so that was awesomeville. The show was funny, but had more filler than killer if I'm being honest about it. Regardless it was great so see the man up close and personal and I managed to get a heckle in.. a helpful one though, you must believe me! Anyway what else can I add to this comment cum mail apart from lots of love and kisses and Mr O'Reilly is hard to beat and that. Additionally I would like for you to send me on your address - the one which you want to receive your Christmas card at. Yo, Noel xxoo
Hey "The Lady", thanks for adding! I dig your sound and your beautiful voice! I would like to visit a gig of you but you are now in great wide London and I'm now at the soutcoast. Do you come around Hastings often?
Hi Susannah! I'm one of your "friends" and i have to say your Songs are beautiful. Especially Mr. O'Reilly. Are you going to release an album? If so I'm a buyer!
Yo yo yo! Sorry for massively late reply, didn't manage to get enough time at work to write something. But now I've got broadband at home. Wooo!
Ahem.
Anyway, hope you had a great time on the bank holiday and thanks for the invite. Unfortunately I had to go home cos it was my Mum's birthday.
The dissertations were good, and I managed to drink too much afterwards....
Anyway, I'm in Greenwich every thursday night now for the next few months for rehearsals, so if you're around one time, would be good to see you.
xxxx
I LOVE IT! The Guitar definately sounds like a Bonnie, but Bonnie-Girl, or Bonnie-Boy, I just don't know, I'd be swayed more to Bonnie-Boy, it is alliteration! Can't wait to work with ya!
