My musical tastes, I will just say upfront, are all over the place and have been influenced by the following people: MYSELF and my insatiable need to consume large quantities of media without chewing. DANNIEL McKERNAN, the mo who introduced me to every song about a gay kid who runs away from little town America and moves to New York to discover himself. I think they were ALL called "Run Billy, Run". NATHANAEL SPRAGUE, this man can play the bass like he's having sex with it and makes playing music look so awesome I think I have no other choice but to sell my kidney for an amp. JUAN LOPEZ, you taught me to stay home sometimes, put on the love makin' candles, turn on the Nina really soft and grab a gallon of ice cream. It's so much better than makin' love. MY MOTHER, If you put on any song from the 50's or 60's I'll know the words and can tell you when the bridge is gonna drop. MY FATHER This man gave me my first piece of music, a 45 of Heart's "Crazy On You" which I played until the record warped and it started sounding like a Gary Glitter song. Movies
Paper Moon is the only film I can really say I love. I have been known however to find some amusement in horribly written and acted films that are stunning to look at. I am an eye candy junkie, yes. Those films that I feel are the truest examples of the eye candy genre are "The Fifth Element" although Chris Tuckers acting is phenomenal, "The Cell", "Resident Evil 1" (Not so much number 2 for me), "Ultraviolet", "Aeon Flux" and "300".
Television
I hate television, although who can pass up the carnage of animals eating each other on Discovery?
Books
I haven't been reading much lately which makes me sad but I usually have to be struck by a books concept to even pick it up anyway. One of my favourites has always been The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran and I am also fond of James Joyce's work especially "Chamber Music" and "Pomes Penyeach" which are his only two published books of poetry as well as "Exiles" which is his only published play.
