Also, The Police, The Cars, REM, The B-52s, U2 and the other usual 80s suspects, plus (says Rick) Oasis, Fountains of Wayne, Wilco, Lucinda Williams, Kris Kristofferson (as I leap wildly hither and yon 'cross the boundaries of space-time), The Eagles, Elton John, The Steve Miller Band, Son Volt, Gram Parsons, Tom T. Hall, Hank Williams, Sr., Jimmy Webb (who penned such immortal classics as "Wichita Lineman" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix"), Jimmy Buffett, Paul Simon, David Bowie and Johnny Cash.
